People have a lot of fear and trauma about speaking, singing, their “abilities”. Everyone is an artist and everyone is a singer, and even if you miss all the notes, it's your divine duty to sing as part of a fun, spiritually fulfilled and zesty life.

Sing with me is a collaborative interactive workshop designed to get people of all levels to explore their voice and creativity through live collaboration.

We begin with a gentle warm up that gets people into their voices, body and soul. Followed by a discussion about the negative things people have heard or felt about their own voices. (This discussion can be re focused to adapt to specific educational needs of the group, it can be about environmental connections and songwriting, movement and voice, queer storytelling, etc.) We then question how to put those feelings into sound, rhythm and melody. The individual or group then performs a few versions of this exercise, and a band accompanies us, and we live out our songs. The session ends with a wind down exercise, and usually everyone is all melty and happy.
